Our philosophy

Yes, I´m a dance teacher, filled with a passion that I love to pass on to your children and to you.
It´s my goal for each to experience the true joy that dance is.
In my eyes a dance teacher helps their students find the song in their heart, the beat in their feet and a passion for life.

Dance has a dimension beyond the physical. The body, as imperfect as it is always, is only a part of the picture. Your energy, your quality of your movement, your feeling about the world, your dance spirit – that is what is shining.
The music is very important - without music no dance.
Dance is movements to the music - this is not only steps with the music!!!
Dance is music made visible.
So musicality is the ability of a dance to become one with the music.
Technique is necessary for sure, but:
Besides a good part of technique, the most important thing which defines a great dancer is the passion. Don´t be too focused on the steps that you forget to dance…
Dancing should give you happiness and joy:
You cannot buy happiness – but you can buy a new pair of dancing shoes and this is kind of the same thing.
Dancing is a mini vacation from the stress of every day – you have to be in the moment.
When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. I want you to enjoy each step along the way.
The important thing is not who dances the best - it´s who enjoys the most.
Dance: the music, the spirit, the mind, the body… the passion.
While dancing you learn to let go things you can´t control… and just listen to the music …and while learning dancing: thinking too much is the biggest mistake you can make – you have to feel!!!
If you dance with your heart, your body will follow.
To dance… put your hand on your heart and listen to the sound of your soul.
Dance enables you to find yourself and to lose yourself at the same time.
Like Paolo Coelho said:  When you dance you can enjoy the luxury of being you.
And there are also some benefits of dance:
Boost memory, improve flexibility, reduce stress, diminish depression, help your herat, loose weight, balance better, increase energy, make friends.
In a long term study in the USA they found out the following:
Dancing reduces stress and depression; increases energy and serotonin; improves flexibility, strength, balance and endurance; strengthens bones and improves cardiovascular health; increases mental capacity by exercising our cognitive processes; dynamic and rapid-fire decision making, creates neural paths.
And never forget: when your dance teacher (that´s me) says “one last time” … it´s always a lie… ;-)
